Food for thought..

be like a child. remember when you were little and someone asked you for something? it was pretty east to give it up right? i mean, if someone were to ask you to feed them when you were little you just would say something along the lines of "you could come to my house and my family and you could eat with us." those were the simple days. well check this out. in the middle of the book of mark Jesus, the Son of God, was preaching throughout the land and healing and telling people what it takes to get to heaven. it means giving it all to follow him. in the middle of the story in mark 10, right in between his teaching of divorce and the rich young ruler, he talks about kids. he said "the kingdom and God belongs to these." this can teach us something about compassion. when we were younger we seemed to have a lot more compassion, at least that is the way it seems. somewhere along the line we lost it, more was given to us and we began to become selfish with what was given to us... i should say me. then Christ moves right into the story of the rich young ruler. his response to Jesus was sad. read about it. maybe there is a reason the two lessons are so close together.

Thank You

WOW!! Lake Wales is one of the coolest places ever!! Now, it may seem like there is not much there besides orange groves and ALOT of lakes, but that would be a false statement. There is a youth group at First Baptist of Lake Wales that will blow you away!! Us as a band had the wonderful experience of leading worship for "Invasion" or "D-Now".  We would just like to say "thank you" to this church and youth group for giving us the opportunity to come and hang out with all of them. God truly blessed One Revolution! From the moment we arrived we were treated with such hospitality it was unreal. This weekend was such a pleasant and refreshing experience for us as a band. It was a blast to spend time with the youth group and watch our Lord at work. Lake Wales has something that is not always found in every youth group and that would be a genuine love for each other. Also something else that was special about this youth group was their youth pastor, Matt (Sir), and his wife, Jennifer (Mam). They were involved in these kids lives and hung out with them and the youth loved them for that. They were so awesome! This youth group has something special and we were glad to be apart of that this weekend. So, "thank you" to Lake Wales for the hospitality and love that was shown to us. We look forward to coming back again! (Oh, and next time, middle and high school guys, you better watch out because we won't have forgotten about the pranks by then!)

relationships

love. love God. love God and love people. love God more. let your love for God overpower your love for people but let that love for God empower you to love people despite what they do. Dont focus on pointless and selfish arguments. let the scripture speak through you and be in you. love is the greatest.
